How to order & pay

Placing an order online is quick and easy thanks to our next-generation shopping cart system. It lets you add, update or remove items from your cart as you shop. The contents of your cart can be reviewed at any time by clicking on the Shopping Cart button found at the top of the screen.

Once you’ve made your final selection, click on the Check Out button and your order transfers instantly to our online checkout system ready for shipping and payment details.

You can view and amend your entire order at checkout before making a payment. We then collect billing and delivery details required to process your payment. You can also set up a personal account in our system to make future payments quicker to process.

All our prices are in Australian Dollars and include 10% Goods and Services Tax (GST).

Secure payment gateway

All orders are paid for using PayPal’s secure payment gateway. You learn more about how your information is kept safe and secure here.


We accept three forms of payment. You can:

  • • Pay by credit card. We accept Mastercard and Visa via the PayPal gateway.
  • • Make an electronic funds transfer (EFT) directly to our bank account.
  • • Use credit held your own personal PayPal account. 

You don’t have to have a PayPal account to make a payment by credit card.

Purchases made using a credit card or personal PayPal account credit are instantly transferred to our warehouse system for dispatch.

Purchases made using EFT are not processed and dispatched by our warehouse until your bank transfers funds to our account. This can delay your delivery.

Minimum order size

Our minimum order size is $15.00 per transaction. This includes GST. Delivery charges are additional.

Purchasing one wooden toy, two charts, or three books is usually all that’s required to acheive this minimum order size.

Delivery & back orders

We deliver anywhere in Australia using a combination of Australia Post’s Parcel Post and national couriers.

We cannot deliver to a PO Box address. Please provide a street address or your order will be delayed.

We delivery to Australian addresses only and do not ship internationally.

Delivery charges

Post and delivery is charged on all orders based on weight and size. This charge remains the same no matter how many individual packages are required to ship your order.

We calculate only one charge for your total order. This is shown before you make your final payment.

You can also review shipping charges without proceeding to Check Out. Simply click on your Shopping Cart, then enter your local postcode in the ESTIMATE SHIPPING & GST section towards the bottom of the page.

Shipping is free for all orders over AU$150*. Your order must equal or exceed AU$150 before the cost of shipping is added. Buying three toys or a couple of Kidstart combo deals is usually enough to reach this threshold. You can view our combo deals here.

Delivery times

We process all orders as fast and efficiently as we can. You should receive your order within seven (7) working days (excluding weekends and public holidays) after we’ve processed your payment in full.

In general, payments made by credit card or using PayPal personal credit are delivered sooner than EFT payments.

Back orders, items out of stock or items not available

Our website is updated instantly as stock levels change in our warehouse. Items out of stock are clearly marked on each product page. You cannot add these items to your shopping cart.

On the rare occasion that an item marked in stock is no longer available we will contact you to make alternative arrangements. This usually means making a substitute or amending your order as items can sometime be on back order for an extended period.

Any back order item in pre-paid order that we accept will be delivered free of charge when it becomes available. If you have more than one back order to process, delivery is delayed until all items on back order are in stock.

Returns & refunds

All products we sell are new and factory-fresh. We check every item before it’s shipped to ensure it’s in good condition. We also check the accuracy of every order at two separate stages to ensure you receive exactly what you ordered.

Damaged items and shipping errors

Should you receive a damaged item, or one with an manufacturing flaw, please contact us immediately. You must also check the accuracy of your order immediately upon receipt. All damage claims and errors in shipment must be reported to Kidstart Australia within 5 working days without exception. We’ll then instruct you what to do next.


Our standard policy is to replace damaged goods at no additional cost. However, Kidstart Australia reserves the right to refund your purchase rather than replace it.
